Mary Barnett

Mary Barnett is the Managing Broker and Co-Owner of Powered-By Brokerage, a certified instructor, and long-time real estate leader with a professional background that blends business operations, adult education, and hands-on industry coaching. Before stepping into real estate, Mary spent years in Human Resources and served as COO for Consumer Credit Counseling, where she facilitated employee development programs and led organizational training initiatives.

She transitioned into real estate in 2016 and earned her Broker’s license in 2019. Since then, she has coached agents across Idaho on business planning, lead generation, client communication, and forms compliance. Mary has taught brokerage-level classes, guided new and experienced agents through practical skill-building, and developed a reputation for teaching with clarity, real-world examples, and a dose of humor.

With a deep understanding of both people and process, Mary brings a grounded, approachable, and operations-minded perspective to every course she teaches. She often says she loves real estate because it’s the perfect mix of numbers and people, “and numbers always do what they’re supposed to, while people so rarely do.” That blend of analytical clarity and real-world human insight is at the heart of her teaching style.
